Announcement

Most people who know us personally will know this anyway but I thought it best to use this platform to make the announcement again for those who don’t and as a means to say a thank you from myself!

At the end of September I left GP, Gary also left.

This was not a decision taken lightly, and was an extremely difficult one to make. I started the band way back in 2006 and the band was largely me (aside from solely song writing and performing alone of course)! But yea, I made the band my life for a large part of time (8 years!) and during the first 5 or 6 years or so I sacrificed pretty much everything for the band putting myself last, this continued till the very end but my passion for it was draining away as many close to the band will have realised, since we haven't been too busy, and the usual consistent hurdles turned in to barriers, barriers which i had no longer any energy left to smash through. I was that guy who spent his life in front of a computer screen doing band stuff,  the guy you dealt with when you booked or spoke to the band, the guy who did all the organising and dealt with all the bullshit and all the pleasures that come with being that in a band that gets out there! With bands there is a tip of the iceberg (writing and performing) and then there’s below the water, so yup!

It’s assumed the members of GP will move on to something new, as music is a big part of all our lives, BUT...as yet the future is uncertain and i can't say much more for not knowing, as always, good luck to everyone. In terms of current interests; I will be continuing the band's label/distro Righteous Anger Records.

The main reason I’m using this platform to say all this is because I want to say a huge thank you to anyone who helped in anyway over the last 8 years, it would be wrong of me not to make some sort of announcement when I dealt with hundreds of people from all over the world for so long, many I’ve lost touch with, and so on, anyway - thank you. Worldwide DIY is an incredible force and i could never begin to list the people i'd want to thank from all over the world.

Cheers

Tour announcements and other news

It's gotta be said, after a long while of fucking about (an ambiguous term for an assortment of reasons why we haven't been able to do much) we're dead chuffed to be sorting stuff out for September onwards. We've been turning down gig offers, festival offers, all sorts of offers for a while now. We'll be touring the UK with one of our favourite bands; the bass, drum and vocal combo that is 2 Sick Monkeys in September. We love em', fucking love em', so we're really excited about this tour. You've probably heard them, and you will have seen em' since they are insanely hard-working ...this band has even played with a fucking orchestra!

Anyway, listen to em' and listen good fuckface

We'll also be doing another tour or two before 2014 is done, so expect some winter-time gallivanting from us...all of this with a brand new album for ya.

Also, incase you missed it, The First Two Years (2006-2008) collection is now out (30th Jan) and available only from Pumpkin Records:

First Two Years (2006-2008) stream is up now!

The "First Two Years (2006-2008)" is a collection of everything recorded between years 2006 and 2008 by the band's original line-up. We were a three-piece back then and we were a very different band to what we are now. We used a small number of these songs(revamped by the new line-up) on our début album "Memento Mori". Those were the days of ramming as many gigs as possible on to our calendar, getting to gigs all over the UK by scavving lifts, hoping trains and taking buses, we even toured Holland this way!

Includes debut EP "Feed Us War" which has been remastered by Pumpkin Records, a couple of live tracks and everything else we recorded at Orange Sound Studios with Russ Hayes.

This release is available exclusively from Pumpkin Records.

The download and CD version will be available from them from January 30th, 2014.

The kind folks over at http://cintaitubutarecords.webs.com/ in Indoneisa have done a short run on tape for us, limited to 50 copies! It's basically a collection of our debut album 'Memento Mori' and our half of the split EP we did with Dead Subverts 'Vs. Predatory Pathocracy'.

We should be getting a few copies ourselves, we'll let you know when.

New album?

So, we're not on hiatus anymore and we're currently fully absorbed in doing nothing but writing our 2nd album.

I guess you could say, it's going very well. We'll be demoing it in a few months, with a mind to recording it in the new year.

All guns blazing.

There's talk of going on tour in 2014, probably to Greece and back or something crazy like that. We have no plans to play live for the time being, we want to focus on this album, we're really no good at multi-tasking!

Pogger's Artwork

The artist behind the cover sleeve artwork for our split with Dead Subverts, Vs. Predatory Pathocracy & the T-shirt design is a man called Pogger.

Check out these photos from his drawing up of the artwork, fucking cool eh!

"I'm a punk artist living in Leeds, UK. I grew up with a love for punk and graffiti and I guess my style has developed mostly from these two things, along with a strong influence from skateboard art. These days I'm mostly working on illustrations for punk bands, I do like to paint when I get the chance."
